Question on Peahens nesting

Yes!! Made my day to hear her and see her. I tried watching where she went but she was eating and drinking my baby was getting mad lol

If my peahens see me watching them they do everything they can to give me the slip, when they are laying they will walk around for an hour looking here and there them all of a sudden they hot foot it in the opposite direction and go straight to the nest and drop down.
Glade you know she is safe.

Here is one of my hens trying to give me the slip, she saw me watching her and ran past me flew up on the barn watched me then flew off the other side, buy time i got around to the other side she was already gone, took me 2 more eggs being layed before i finely found her nest.

That's funny. This is a new hen. Her first nest she wasn't so sneaky. I found her watched her and when they hatched I took them to raise. out of 4 the 2 biggest and strongest survived. But this time around with will be her second nest this year she is being by far smarter. lol.

I had a hen lay next to the brooder she was raised in, she hatched out her eggs and i put her in the brooder with some other babies i had hatched out after the broody chicken hens sat them till they were ready, anyhow she became mom to all the babies in the brooder and still hangs outside their pen when i put them up for the night after a day of free ranging.

She is feeding the babies meal worms

laying her clutch, ended up leaning a peice of plywood on the side of the fece to give her some cover.
