Question on Reintroducing-*Update-reintroduced*

I let her out with the others during chores yesterday afternoon. There was a little picking on her initially but then she went off by herself and they have been around her and locked into the coop (8x8 for 13 birds) over night and she seems to be doing fine! Hopefully things will continue that way.

Now we just have to worry about the 3 coyotes we saw in the yard and pastures this morning. DH took shots at them and we think he wounded one so hopefully they won't come back. He'll have to get one of the other guns out for more distance and I think I'll call the neighbors who hunt coyote and tell them there are three lurking around.

Eldora is hanging out by herself and they do pick on her some but, she is managing in the coop with the rest. Time is hopefully going to be all that is needed!

Kitty, I'm glad Eldora is doing well. I had a similar experience with Kiwi. She was out for a week after an "argument" with one of our dachshunds. We let her out with the others under supervision for a few days, bringing her back inside for the night. At first, I worried that the others were being a little too agressive with her and I segregated her in the fenced area of their coop so they could see each other and interact in a safer manner; but Kiwi seemed very unhappy and more stressed than before. She obviously wanted to handle it herself. I let her out to run with the flock and let them work things out for themselves. After three or four days, the others stopped harassing her and now she is back in the mid range of the pecking order where she started.
