Question re: deep litter

I'm wondering if I keep cleaning off poop boards through the winter as I do deep litter with the rest of the coop...I don't think the chickens will stir it up there and not much room for me to do it either

Toss in some scratch and see if the chickens dig around for you.

I have a 'no human access' coop and I use a child size leaf rake. Works perfect!

Poop boards are on a shelf 18" above the floor

If you use poop boards, don't you scoop the poop daily? That's what I do and add it to my compost pile. I have deep bedding(dry) in my coop.
