Question - Red mite

Can red mite live outside the house and in the outside run. ? And come out during the day? I'm trying to work out if I have two different pest problems.

Red mites usually live in the crevices of the coop and run, feeding off the birds at night (unless I'm getting confused with the Northern Fowl Mite). Try putting DE in the coop and run and spraying the birds with Adam's Flea & Tick. With Adam's Flea & Tick, it's easy to put on, inexpensive, and gets rid of mites immediately.
