Question regarding a Dutch bantam hen

Good Morning. Yesterday after my sons 4-H workshop a fellow club member was giving away a bunch of various chickens to reduce her flock. We took home a cute little Dutch Bantam hen she was in good shape when we got her (except for her ridiculously overgrown nails, which have been taken care of). Anyway, I went out to chech her this morning, and I noticed she sounded raspy when she was breathing. She has a great appetite, and is eating and drinking just fine. She haas no nasal discharge, her color is good, etc. I went ahead and brought her inside and put her into a quiet room in a single cage. I was curious if anyone else has had issue with this? Is there anything further I should be doing for her, etc? I am still kind of new to chickens, and I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can be

If there are no other symptoms I would hesitate to treat her just yet. It could be a result of stress. I would not put her with any of your other birds yet. You should always quarentine new birds. I would keep an eye on her. It would be good to add vitamins to her diet as well as making sure you feed her good quality food, not scratch or corn. Keep her quiet and watch her. If her nails were that overgrown, it sounds as if she wasnt taken care of properly. Best of luck with her. This is a great breed and I'm sure you will be happy with her.
