Considering my brahmas routinely CHOOSE the smallest nest boxes, I don't think it's an issue.Yes, but the curved sides make the height even smaller.

It does. The sides are shorter than the middle....as long as they aren't rolling around!And the curve doesn't affect the height. It's the same diameter.
