I am getting close to Day 18 on my eggs. My question is on Day 18 do you usually candle the eggs so you know which ones are good and which are bad before you go into lockdown? Also, I set my eggs on Day 1 at 4pm. So my question is since I set at 4pm, would I want to remove my turner from the incubator and raise the humidity at 4pm, or could I do it earlier in the day. Those of you that have more experience w/ this would like to get your opinions.

Thanks
Kim

Most candle previous to lockdown, yes. As for time, it isn't that big of deal. Whenever you have the time..

I usually check before lockdown and try to get it around the same time as I put the eggs in. Latley I have been doing it earlier because they have been hatching earlier for some reason. Remember day one isn't until they have been in for 24 hours.

Yes, I realize day 1 isn't until the have been in 24hrs. I set at 4pm. So figured Day 18 would be at 4pm. Seeing that I set at 4pm.
