I have a new flock (born beg. April approx) of 5 BCMs resulting in 3 pullets and 2 roos. I have one roo who is exactly as one would expect. Handsome, feathery footed, and well coppered around the neck with a very nice tail coming in. The question is regarding my other roo, who is approximately 3 inches taller than his brethren roo and my other fully grown hens (different varieties) and he has almost no tail, with no promise of feathers coming in either. His coppering in the neck seems to be a little sparse and his eyes are dark brown. He has enormous legs and very feathery feet. His name is Stretch, and he runs like Charlie Chaplin with swim fins on! Is he a genetic mistake or are huge roosters quite common? I did not purchase these chicks from a breeder per se, but actually from a crazy Russian lady.

Normal roo

Large roo (Stretch) at the far upper left (note no tail)

Stretch close up, note dark eyes

Normal

Note his size. This was as good as I could get for size.
