Ok. Right now I have 3 peas and a rooster in a 12 x 12 horse stall with a very high celling.
They were hatched in Aug and Sept, so they are very young. The rooster was hatched with one of the
young peahens and they are bonded, so I did not seperate him out yet. My plan is to free range them in the spring
with my other 2 adults.

My question is that I will be getting a pair that is 5-7 yrs old. Can I put them in with these young ones. Will this stall be big enough
for all of them until about March?? There are some large branches that I placed in there for roosts.

How long should I quarenteen the pair?? The only thing I have to put them in is two 3x3 dog crates unless I give them the whole barn.
The only problem with doing that is my adult boy likes to sleep in there at night.

Suggestions would be helpful.

thanks

I'd probably stay away from putting the adults in with the young ones. I keep up to 5 young in a winter pen like that, and that is a little cramped come spring. I usually quarantine for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks and then worm them as soon as I get them. THis gives lots of time to observe their behaviours and be sure they are visually disease free.
