Question

There's a difference between not having a tail and being truly rumpless. Do the birds have a tail bone? If yes, they're just slow to develop tail feathers, or have more of the Orpington rounded shape. If not, one of the birds carries a recessive rumpless gene.
 
They are fully feathered birds about 3 months with no tails. I didn't bother asking about tail bones. I'll ask
