Ok so my little Mallard Gigi got spooked yesterday and flew off and flew into a window. She seems fine eating drinking and acting normal. However she isn’t in her pool much today. She is usually one of the first ones in. Should I be concerned? Or am I being paronoid?

Aww, poor thing! She's probably still in a bit of shock. If she''s eating and drinking good then she'll probably be okay. Just keep an eye on her. If by tomorrow she's not wanting to swim or do much then I'd be concern but for now she seems fine as far as I can tell.

She seems fine. She’s eating, drinking normally. I haven’t seen her in the water playing around which is a little odd to me, but on the other hand it has rained steady everyday for a week so maybe she’s enjoying the sunshine.

Maybe she is just afraid. My ducks spooked once when something scared them in their pond and they didn't want to go in. The cure is mealworms! Throw some dried ones in there and I bet she gets over her fear!

My daughter sent me this picture while I was working. So she’s fine.
