My baby chicks are 1 1/2 weeks old give or take. Can I give them lettuce or apple slices.

Like Pork Pie said,

Only chick starter feed is ok to feed in their early stages. However, when they are older (for example, pullets - they can then eat lettuce and apple, but not apple seeds).

I would wait to feed them treats. They need all their nutrients from the chick starter/grower feed.
