i think this starling is trying to make a nest in my shed and i foiled his plans. he won't go away and he's stalking me.

instead of having an empty greenhouse until may, i put some stuff in there. my brand new lemon tree, and the strawberries. maybe i will actually get some strawberries and the crows can't get them.


the big pots are covered because they are about 1/3 full and there are potatoes in them.

but of course...

she was suspended in the air and was annoyed she couldn't get to dig.

it was miserable out most of the day sp this is all i got...
the starling was back with a tiny flower to put in his not gonna happen nest.

and i thought this was a cool tree.

This is a blooming peach we bought about 15 years ago. It almost died and sprouted from the roots a few years ago.
If we let it grow, we will get wild peaches. They are probably not very tasty. Hope the will be okay for marmalade or jam. Like wild cherry is good for jams too.

well, even if they're not tasty, the blooms are pretty!

today was busy and i didn't take any pictures.
so here's one from friday when we went to buy the lemon tree.

here's a picture.

and he came back again an hour and a half later.
both times i went out there to scare him off.
he is not afraid of me.
at all.

that has never happened before. they usually run off straight away.
i was shooting the hose at him and he kept coming straight towards me.

he doesn't seem to be lingering around the chicken run.
but i am still worried.
