My husband's uncle said there is a fairly quiet bred that lays 300 plus eggs a year, does anyone know the breed?

Not that big at all. They are not a bantam size, but still small ( sorry if that is confusing). And they lay white eggs, 300+ per year.

There are quieter breeds of chickens but it is mostly a individual thing.
Ones that lay 300+ eggs a year are production breeds, such as ISA Browns, Red Sex Links, Golden Comets, and Leghorns.
But one thing about production breeds is that they get a lot of health issues and don't live long.
