If my hens set eggs, can't I just let them hatch there? Do I HAVE to bring them in? Or can I just let nature takes it's course. Now mind you Im in Texas and the weather is pretty warm right now.

Yup, you can leave them there. The mother hen shouldl take care of them. They should be fine. NOw if i could just get my hens to go broody.....

Whew. I have 12 babies in the house and they just look miserable. The Anconas are too small for the big dog pen I kept the cockerals in. I am finding them so adorable!! They have itsy bitsy cartoonish looking faces.

Another Question?

How old are Roos when they start to crow? Mine are about 4-5 weeks old and they are still peeping. One of them actually cackles tho.
