Hi, this is sort of urgent. but please i need as many opinions as possible. so my neighbor is going to try to hatch chicks for her science project. We live in Colorado, so it's just turning into fall. there are coyotes trying to get my chickens, now that food is becoming scarce. im guessing they are going to keep the chicks in side and with a heating lamp, but you can never be too sure. so is this wise? because it gets hot at night in their house, and they open every window. please help!

As long as your neighbor keeps the chicks inside or in a secure coop (with a heat lamp, of course), I think that it is fine. It would be best if the chicks were kept in an indoor room with no/closed windows, as a hungry predator could try to get in through a window.
