I know a few people have said they attached it with deck screws and washers, my question is what size washers did you use? and how did you attach it? im little confused my deck screws heads arint as wide as the screws. would anyone have a pic they could post of what it looks like? thanks

I just use roofing nails.. A couple every so often in the corner of the squares.. been fine so far..

I used a pneumatic stapler with 1-1/2" staples.

I don't know what kind of deck screws you have, "the head isn't as wide as the screw"??

I used fender washers from Home Depot. Fender washers have small center holes of varying sizes. Your screw will go in, but not the head of the screw.

I ment to say the head of the screw is not as wide as the hole in the hardwere cloth. im attaching it to 4x4s and 1x6's. and also 1x2's

My husband said that the standard staples would pull too easy and not last long enough. So he bought me some u-shaped heavy staples that you drive with a hammer. They are like fence stapes like I have used for barbed wire, but they're silver in color (stainless? don't look galvanized) and much smaller. They are a bit of a pain to drive, but they are very secure.

To use screws you'll have to get #8 screws, not #6. The heads are bigger on the #8's, I think they will not slip through a 1/2" washer (I'm not 100% on the size of washer) You'll have to try them out at the hardware store, see which screw won't fit through the washer holes.

Yes, regular staples are a waste of time mostly.
