Okay so our ducks will be 20 weeks around the middle of February, around when there will be enough light for egg laying and finally maybe warm enough for breeding.

Do I need an incubator or do Rouens go broody enough to hatch their own?
Do yall eat the unfertalized eggs?
About how many ducklings do you get per hen?

Soon, very soon. I got my first egg of the spring this morning (Dutch Hookbill’s though). I live in Tennessee so I may be ahead of you depending where you live.

I can’t answer you about Rouens as mothers. I have always used an incubator for my different types of ducks. That way I still get eggs to eat. We eat infertile and fertile eggs and they are amazing! You can only tell by the size of the white dot on the yolk. It is best not to hatch your first eggs as they will be small. Give it a few weeks first.
