Questions about Dishwashers

It depends on the level of dishwasher - some are much better than others.

I have a middle-of-the-range KitchenAid and it does a pretty good job. I do rinse off really grimey dishes though.

Make sure the thing that spins in the bottom is spinning freely. One time I had a fork or something lodged in there and it wasn't spinning and I had a lot of dirty dishes.

I have two dishtubs (brown-washing, red-rinsing), that is used each time dishes are washed.
I do not put dishes into sink to drain after they are washed, to be rinsed off - that is so unsanitary!
People in this house have to have a drain to pour whatever liquid they are through drinking down into.
Sinks in this house also has raw chicken, other meats, vegies, fruits rinsed off in the sink, teeth brushed in same sink.
Why would anyone put dishes into a sink, not knowing for sure if anything else was ever put into same sink, when they weren't there to witness it being used?

How many times would your sink get wiped clean after every use? I know mine do not.
We don't get sick very often either, but my sisters, brothers get sick more often, though,
guess how they do their dishes......... YEP.......in the sink!
