Questions about eggs?

One of my hens just started laying and I wanted to know whats the best way for storing eggs? On the counter or in the fridge? And how long should they last? I read that store bought eggs are sometimes months old. Is that true?

I would store your eggs in the refrigerator. Eggs will last about 7 weeks in refrigeration but on the counter they should last about 1 week before you should throw them out. I once read that when you get eggs at the store they are about 4 weeks old and have about a 3 week expiration date.
