Questions about feed

So... I've got my 2 babies on 24% starter. I also have 7 others, 5 I got in April and then the other 2 I think are similar age. No one has started laying yet. My question is should I keep them on Grower (I get it from Tractor Supply) or should they be on layer feed? Also, will the layer feed hurt the drakes?

I never use layer. I offer a separate bowl of oyster shells for the laying girls.

Oh... duh... Makes sense lol. So should they be off grower then?

Not sure. I just went from starter to grower when the starter ran out

Lol... that's what I did... Now I'm just about out of grower and was going to just go get some big bird food since they're almost 4 months old.

I wish there was gamebird feed around here!

But even with layer feed, one of my ducks consistently lays thin-shelled eggs, so I have resorted to dumping a bunch of oyster shell on top of the feed. They won't eat it out of a bowl.

My first bunch of ducks, I just switched them from starter straight to layer. They were on it for an entire winter (it was months) before they even started to lay, so I just thought it was doing it's job when none were thin. Now this.
