Questions about Guineas. Coop is finished! Keets were moved out today.

Well darn. One of the Pied Keets died. It was the very small and almost like a runt. I've been careing for it since Thursday night and it died in my hands tonight.

We broke ground on building the guineas their OWN coop!

It's going to be 8x8. Their outdoor pen will be huge and underneath a bunch of trees so there will be a ton of shade.

Concrete is getting poured next week or weekend.

Most likely their run will go all the way down to the duck coop.
I'm still debateing on wether to let them free range or not since the neighbors just got some Guard dogs to keep Coyotes off their property.

Concrete Foundation is getting poured tonight. (I think.)

Now for their roosts should I use 2x4's that are layed flat so the bigger side is faceing up and down?

Concrete was poured tonight and I hope we will get at least the frame done this weekend. Lets hope it doesn't rain! Its spose to rain tonight and tomorrow. Was kinda hopeing that it wouldn't rain so the concrete could form up for at least one day.
The Keets are tameing down quite a bit actually. I'm really happy they are too.

Good luck! its looking great. I am now going to need more space do to incubating and keeping wayyyyyyyyyyy more than I expected to. I am being super sweet these days due to the fact I know the new coop is going up

Once the concrete starts setting there is pretty much nothing that will stop it....
