Questions about Guineas. Coop is finished! Keets were moved out today.

That would be Dad.. Me and him work on it when he is home because power tools tend to like to eat me. Trimming hedges last year + on ladder = Horrible idea.
I actually get compliments because I act very mature for my age. I'm 10+6

Ah this explains alot.

Guinea Coop painted then we decided to go ahead and paint the Duck Coop since we wanted them to both match in color. (It needed a fresh coat of paint anyway..)
Roof is done. Got shingles on today. Just need to buy a door or make one then put up the trim. (To match the Duck Coop since it has White Trim on the outside.
Its a Dark Red. Didn't get a picture since the cameras battery went dead at the last moment.

Yep there will be a run attached to it. Now for the ice breaker.. Guineas will be allowed to free range!

Now I'm going to start feeding them treats so they'll get use to me and get it into their minds that I'm the "Food Bringer."
Once they are finally outside, I'll probably end up keeping them in the run till next year since we are spose to get gawd aweful amounts of snow and ice again this year.
Then by next year they'll be free!!!
Peeps and Perchie you 2 are lucky you don't have to deal with this nasty white stuff for 4 months!

Peeps gets more snow than me I am sure. I get about 72 hours total of snow. But I get wind.... sometimes the the screens on the house scream so loud you cant talk on the phone. I have to batten down the hatches on the coop. The wind can knock them over, or even off their perches. So I have to shut down shutters on the open sides of the coop.

Very nice coops !!! You and your Pops rock!

I don't mind the snow (only get about 1 inch of it here, maybe twice each winter)... but 4 months of it would drive me nuts I think, lol. I do get about 4 months of MUD every winter/early spring that tries my patience tho

Last year we had to deal with Ice.. My butt still doesn't feel the same as before last year.
I was carrying two 5 gallon buckets full of water to the ducks pen and I slipped on the ice and it went all over me.
