Questions about hyperthyroidism in cats

Thanks everyone,
He is at the end of his line. He's deteriorating rapidly. He's finding all sorts of hidden places to go, which signals to me that he knows its the end.
He's quit eating. He drinks a little. There have been times today when I really thought he was leaving us. He throws up often and I'm seeing a little blood in it. He's started peeing on the floor too.
I'm going to start another post about something similar, as I'm thinking it might get lost at the end of this.

Does anyone have any personal experience with radioactive iodine to treat Hyperthyroidsim in cats? We are considering doing it for our cat, but we are getting a lot of conflicting information from the clinic. I have read a lot about it, but I'd like to find someone who has personally experienced it. If anyone has ANY experience with this, please let me know! Thanks.
