1) Does it hurt? My Delaware lost a TON of feathers over the course of 4 days - you can see the skin on her shoulders (?) and her longer tail feathers. She does not look happy.
2) How long does it take for new feathers to grow? We are having nights in the 40s now - she's snuggling in w/her sisters so is that enough?
3) Why is she the only one losing feathers - I have four that are all the same age (15 months) but she is the only one shedding. None of the others ever have.
4) Do I need to get every feather out of the run? Do they decompose fairly quickly?
5) Should I be supplementing the feed to promote new feathers?
