Questions about muscovy ducks!

Hello,
I recently rescued a young muscovy drake. I am very unfamiliar with muscovy ducks and have some questions. I have one Welsh Harlequin duck and one indian runner duck. How many ducks does a muscovy drake need? Will he over mate my ducks? If I get another muscovy female duck will it stop mating the others? He is a very friendly duck and belongs to my sister so selling him is the last option I want to take. Thanks for the help.

If he's very hypersexual then I would suggest getting him two female muscovy companions.

It seems like drakes have a mind of their own and it's kinda hard to predict what they'll do. I had a Muscovy drake. I got him a Muscovy female and he seemed to like her well enough, but he never mated with her. He was obsessed with one of the Rouens, he went after her constantly although he ignored her sister. How old is your drake? Mine got absolutely enormous once he was full grown and I worried about him hurting my female Runners because two of them are very small. Some of the males don't get that big but mine was a giant.

We think he is 10-12 weeks old. His feet are HUGE and he sometimes has trouble walking on them. He is already very big and he has come a a long way since we got him. I had an Indian runner Drake who I sold because he mated everything in our yard- chickens, bush turkeys, wild ducks and he once tried my beagle. The Muscovy duck has a much friendlier attitude and sits up to the fence against my dog. He is away from the others ducks because he is was attacked by them so we are waiting till he gets bigger. He seems really happy on his own! His attitude could be an age thing though.
