Roundup causes cancer and birth defects. If you use it and your chickens eat the sprayed grass or anything near it, their meat and eggs will be affected. It doesn't break down in the soil.

What did you have to do for a gate? And, I think I'll just roundup around the fence.

Here's something Premier has. I just might get this for my fence. Would be much more convenient than the rig I have now.

What I do now, is at one corner, I just pull the fence up out of the ground and move it. I have a small rope loop attached at the top of the corner post, to hold the "Gate" closed. Also have a small tie at the center of the corner post to hold the gate tight to the corner. Without the center tie, the gate's fiberglass post will bow.
I also use Roundup for my fence's perimeter. I'm sure I would not want to drink a pint of it, in place of a cold beer. But, ever hear of Monsanto, with their Roundup resistant crops? We all eat food year round treated with Roundup. So unless you are living off your own privately grown food supply, you have consumed Roundup, whether you want to or not.
