Questions about preparing bird after culling

When we where butchering the emus we cut there heads off with sharp prunning shears, would it work for chickens?

I have always skinned birds but am going to try the plucking route on my next group of birds. I understand that they are scalded in 130+ degrees water for 20-30 seconds but how do you get them to "sink"/ stay under?

This is assuming they are used to being handled...
Pick bunny up.
pet bunny until calm.
Gently lay bunny on it's back on your lap.
Stroke gently and steadily right above their eyes.
1-2 min and bunny is out for the count lol.




I would never do this now but a girlfriend and I used to have contests to see how many rabbits we could hypnotize and float in her pool before they started to wake up. LOL yes they will float! They can swim so no one ever got hurt doing this .....

hahaha! and I thought when we held the buck bunny we have and he rolled up on his back like a ball he was just being cutesy for me!
