What do you use for a wormer?

Where do you buy it? (IE would tractor supply have something on hand?)

And how do you administer it? in their food? down their throat, injection, etc.

Thanks. Looking for info because I am wanting to do a preventative worming on my chooks

Well...I just got some Wadine from Tractor Supply Company. It's used for swine, turkeys and chickens.

It was $6.99 on the shelf and I believe $7.11 with tax (I don't have my farm tax number there...first time I've EVER bought anything at TSC.)

You give it in the water, 2 fl. oz per 1 gallon of water. (I just did 1.5 teaspoons/ gallon of water.)

If you are not sure they have roundworms specifically (which is what Wazine treats) and/or dont want to treat everyone at one time, Ivomec Eprinex PourOn is great. It's used on the skin at the back of the neck then again in 2 weeks. The bottle is expensive, but will a couple of years, I believe.

I give my ivermectrin, horse wormer, 2 times a year. You can get it at any feed store. Put just a little bit in their beak and they will swollow it.
