Some of my ducks are seven years old have never been wormed but last year I got chickens and a couple months ago I wormed them (the chickens )with valbazen. Then my dog had Giardia and the vet prescribed fenbendazole (I used safeguard) I also treated my geese because they share some yard space with the dog sometimes. Now I am considering using either safeguard or valbazen on the ducks, lately, some of their poops look like they have more white watery-ness than usual . I am trying to decide which dewormer to use and if I go with the safe guard, should I do the five day treatment that it is for Giardia or just the one time and then again in what something like 10 days? Edit- to add that the vets around here that actually see ducks will not take a poop sample from me unless I bring the animal in for a complete exam which is over my budget right now.
