Living in Nebraska and hubby and I just got divorced, so am looking to move southward to a cheaper place, hopefully a small acreage or even a snowbird place.
Been looking all over and noticed prices are especially depressed in the Pine Bluff Arkansas area and the very northeast Atlanta and Dekalb Texas area. So Planning a road trip to look at a bunch of places in the 15 to 60k area. Trailers are definitely ok with us.
Can anyone give me a little more area info in these places? Are they awfully shanty town type places or would somethin in these areas be ok for two women relocating? And topography? Hilly, flat, rainy, forested, etc.
I know one couldnt even look at a place under $50,000 here in town that wasnt in a horrid area, let alone an acreage unless in trailer park. I dont mind a trailer but do NOT want a trailer park, would love to keep SOME of my critters if possible and all if I can find something workable. I have a Pyr, 7 peacocks, 10 ducks, 15 chickens, 5 turkeys and 4 guineas.
Anyone can chime in with their take on things, etc, I sure would appreciate it.
