Do i need to worry about the chicks drying if they are outside in the coop with mama, it averages 20 - 30 degrees.

Will mama show them how to eat and drink?

Do i clean up the eggs as they hatch or do i wait until they are all done?

Are there any good links for what to expect when letting a broody hatch them out??

Thanks!

Mama will always take care of her chicks, including keeping them warm and making sure they get food and water. You can clean the eggs up or leave them, it's up to you.

As for behavior, every broody bird is different.

Though you may want to be careful the first time you reach in there for a chick. She could turn out to be Hitler in disguise.

I will remember that!!! If I am going to move her from the dog crate to a big wire cage, would i be better off to do it now before hatch day (tues) or should i wait until after they hatch?

I would do it before. Mainly because you never know the behavior of the bird after they hatch. If you do it now, you won't HAVE to stick your hands in there!
