If it’s only one duck then he is probably super lonely. Ducks need companionship

In the past one of my Drake’s when I walked away would follow me and have his head down like he was trying to scare me off from his girls, but I only thought it was the cutest thing and thought nothing of it.

I have one duck (hen), bottom of the duck totem pole that does that also, puts her head down and charges at me, as soon as I look down at her, she turns and runs away quacking like mad! (I swear that I'm not an ax murderer!!) I'm assuming it is a challenge to my place as flock leader, she wants to be bumped up in the ranks. I could be totally wrong about that but that's how I read the behavior in my particular case.

My drake is pretty high in the ranks, of the ducks and chickens so he has stopped but when I turn he usually goes away also, lol
