Hopefully at least some of the the eggs that my broody Australorp is sitting on will hatch - they are due somewhere around this coming Friday. I have been feeding my hens organic feed and want my chicks to grow up this way. Can I feed unmedicated starter and leave them unvaccinated or not? I read an earlier post on this subject, but the answers for feeding medicated and vaccinating appeared to be for chicks coming from a hatchery, not home hatched.
