Questions on DE and Seven

Can I dust my birds with seven then clean and dust the coop with DE? Also can I use DE or seven on chicks? Is it safe with chicks around? I have hens with week old babies that need dusted. Can I dust them or will that affect the chicks?

I wouldn't dust them until the chicks are older unless you're seeing bad symptoms.

You can dust the coop and the birds with DE or Sevin

I remember seeing posted somewhere that they had mixed DE and seven and used it as a dust bath. They let the birds self treat themselves when doing a dust bath.

Personally I use frontline on a bad case but usually permethrin sprayed on bird to treat for mites, lice.

I wish they made a flea, mite and lice coller for chickens lol
