So how do you know if you are feeding your ducks enough food?
The books say they need around 5 ounces of food a day, but depends on breed.
One of the challenges I'm having also is that the small non-electronic weight scales for small poundage, its hard to know if its accurate. I have a 0 to 10 lb scale for food; that's what I'm using. And not easy to tell.
Plus, I'm also doing a fodder sprout system where I've sprouted sunflower seeds. Supposedly the videos on youtube are saying you can sprout 1 lb of seed and turn it into 4 or 5 lbs of fodder once its had several days of growing + water + sun etc. But the non-electric scales are kind of funny and I can't tell if its weighing it right?
Plus, I wonder if you guys have had the same questions also?
But it also seems like the ducks would never stop eating and nibble on yard weeds anyway even if I did get them at least 5 ounces of food.
They seem healthy and happy.
I guess I'm just hoping to fine tune things and see how you guys measure out feeds, especially if you grow sprouts to feed them? Thanks.
