I cleaned & treated her wounds. They were really superficial. I have her in a quiet place away from the others. She has food & water. I have been dipping her beak to get her to drink some. Its hot here and I am worried about dehydration. I don't think she has eaten much since it happened yestarday at noon. I know she was in shock, from what I read here.

Do I need to force feed? if so, how?

or

Do I just give her time and keep making sure she drinks

Try feeding her something like yogurt, protein based. You have to be careful when force feeding her. I woudn't worry yet, water is more important. What was the wound from and where is it located? Is she weak? Is she unable to return to the coop?
I forgot to mention, put a little vitamin in her water if you can.

Is this a follow up to another post? I don't know what happened or when but no, I wouldn't force feed her, b/c that really stresses them out. You could try putting a little pedialyte or gatorade in the water, keep dipping her beak once in a while and if she doesnt drink dribble some on her beak, usually they will open their moutn. What you are doing is correct; keep her cool and quiet.

An over zealous cat got her. She is about 3 months old. I checked very well under all the feathers for wounds. just found a few scratches and got them all cleaned. She wouldn't walk yesterday and was very still. Today she is walking some. I have her in the alleyway w/a nest so she isnt being picked on by the others.

I was just worried that she may not be eating. I sprinkled some on the ground and a bit of scratch to get her interested in eating. I am making sure serveral time a day that she drinks some

Try something she really likes, because if she is still not eating it's time she did. Maybe applesauce or oatmeal, some meal worms? Can she hear and see the others? She might be stressed if she's totally isolated.

She was up and walking around yesterday. I put her back in with the others. She could see them the entire time. She walked around a bit, ate some food, drank some water & rested. I will check on her again at noon.
