questions on quail. Size of cages... ratio,...(update on Question)

when making the cages, and you cut the door area, you are left with an opening that scratchs you if you rub against in when you reach in. (I hope that makes sense) Anyways, where do I get or what can I get to cover the wire. I have seen the ones at the feed store that have plastic things over it.

ya get it in 8 or 10 ft sections at lowes or hd its end cap molding for the plastic wallboard ya find in bathrooms and sutch its cheep and works well
its about 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick and looks like this |_|

Use a fine steel file to file down the pointed edges... works wonders.
