1. Are they cold/heat hardy?
2. Are they good layers?
3. Are they prone to any diseases or illness?
4. How big do they get?
5. What size are their eggs?

1. Yes they can handle cold weather. It depends how hot.
2. They are pretty good egg layers from what I heard
3. Not that I know of
4. A little bit bigger than a normal chicken
5. That, I don't know.

They are good layers...good sized fowl...mine live in NY and handle the cold better than the single comb breeds..
Good sized eggs...

They handle the weather as well as most large fowl.Be sure they have plenty of shade and fresh cool water during summer months and shelter from the rain and cold in the winter.They are fairly good layers.Not a 'production' layer,but decent,laying a med/large light brown egg.They are not PRONE to any illnesses,however all poultry illnesses still affect them.

They are cold hardy. I live in Northern CA. can get pretty hot here. So far seem to do fine. Just make sure they have shade and fresh cool water. Pretty decent layers. Not prolific layers. Med/Large cream/light brown eggs. I've had no problems with any illness or diseases. I guess no more prone than any other chicken. They are a large fowl. I have read they can be broody and yes mine is broody, but I can only speak for mine.
