Thank you.Looks like a pullet. Possibly just small for her age.![]()
So wait what breed would she be.I've had 'production' red's come out looking like that too. A pretty coppery color.
As small as you're describing her, she might have some bantam in her ancestry, perhaps?
It’s around 2-3x smaller then the other onesCan you post a pic that would give a size reference? Perhaps being held or next to another chicken - especially if you have one of the same age?
Also, Turns out bantam orphingtons are a thing, they look exactly the same as mine same size same feathering same everythingGotta be either full bantam or part...I only ever had one bantam that someone dumped at my place after Easter one year. Is there a bantam Orpington? There may be. Maybe a bantam person will chime in here.
Where did you get that batch of chicks? Some places are known for having mixed up chickies>
Yes!! She’s very friendly she will eat from your hands let you pick her up come inside the house to raid all the dog and cat food!Definitely looks like a buff orpington pullet. Not dark enough to be a production red or rhode island red. I've never heard of a bantam orp, but that's what it looks like.
I'd bet she makes a great lap chicken.
