I hatched 6 eggs this spring I have two came out of EE eggs and the others were out of brown ones and one out of a maran egg (it didn't survive the night), the three that came out of the brown ones have very dark tints to their yellow/orange legs and are progressivly getting darker, one that came from an EE egg had feathered legs.

My question, can cuckoo marans have feathered legs? Are their legs dark?
The brown egg chicks have a little bit of a brown/barred coloring to them I figured if they were mixed they'd get the barring from the cuckoo rooster (just a guess) and the brown from the hen, the EE got the feathered legs from the maran as well, it's just a little bit of feathering.

my cuckoos have feather legs and yes their legs are dark! I mixed my Cuckoo roo with my ee hens and i got all cuckoo color. I think that is the dominate color. I am not sure about the brown. you should post some pictures i would love to see them!

One and two don't have any brown, but three has a little here and there, they're still getting in their feathers so I'm waiting to see what they'll look like.

#4 EE that's starting to get some barring on it's rump, it also has a little bit of feathering on it's legs and nearly completely black legs except for the tips of it's middle toe, it's cute!

Orange toes (you can kind of see the feathering)
