Quick question about my ducks...

Could it be that my ducks are loosing feathers due to low calcium? Im feeding them chicken feed (recommended by ts worker). Should i just switch them to flock raiser?
By the way I believe they're all drakes, not sure that would make a difference on anything..

They're losing feathers is probably due to molting, which 1st years do 2-3 times the first year, I think and then once a year after they get their adult feathers... and sometimes they just lose feathers like we do hair...
now if they're fighting or being picked on... that's a different ballgame.

Flock raiser is good though... calcium is more needed for egg production in females, to keep the eggs hard. If they're males, they don't really need the calcium.

And the all flock or flock raiser doesn’t have extra calcium, but is better balanced for waterfowl than many feeds designed just for chickens.

I would suspect molting, too.
