Quick question? Chick / chicken sounds

I was wondering if anyone can tell me at what age chicks start to make adult noises? This is the age the chicks can start free ranging as we found with the last lot the cats lose interest when they stop the baby noises. Thanks so much.

Oh geez...I think ours started around 7 or 8 weeks? It was so long ago now! Once they got fully feathered with no "fluff" is when it started. It was pretty funny too cause one would make an actual chicken cluck and the rest would look at her like she was insane. Id say give it about 2-3 months and they should all stop peeping. Mine are golden comets so it might be different with other breeds which grow faster

I actually have seen them stop peeping & making adult sounds around 12 weeks.

Anywhere from 8-12 weeks. I have 3-7 week old chicks and all still are still peeping.
