I was looking at a feed chart on a hatchery website regarding BBW and the feed amount averaged to about 100lbs of feed give or take(118lbs for a tom 82lbs for a hen) to raise a BBW up to 20 weeks. Is this correct? I don't know anything about turkeys but it seemed like that was probably on the low side. I ask because i'm trying to figure out the economics of it all. Thanks for your answers

The feed amount is a little on the low side. The charts are made under perfect conditions. You can not use a lot of economics when raising your own food . Because the bigger you are the cheaper it gets .But that is when you start losing flavor and all around great taste .

Feed charts are awful. My birds, heritage, not bib or BBQ eat way more than chart from hatchery.i think if you have a expectancy from a chart you may be disappointed in the results. My advice keep a chart of your first year with your birds so you would have a more accurate ratio under your environment.
