Well from old movie lover to another... they just don't make a "scary" movie today. Bloody - yes, gory - yes, gross - yes, truly scary - NO... They don't understand that the scare is in more of what you DON'T see, than you do see.

I know. These young whipper snappers dont know a good scary movie unless it bites them in the aft end. Blood? not scary.Gore? not scary.Guts splayed out?not scary.head chopped off? gross and gory, but not scary.Scary is truely what you dont see or dont expect. Then when it happens, you scream like a little girly.and then your the only one in the room, and you have to go to bed.thats when you shut the light off in sequence toward your bedroom and jump into bed the same time you turn off the lights, hoping to beat the light to bed.Make sure you check every dark corner of the room and hide under the covers,or under your mattress.

SAW 1, and Ring 1 were good scary movies, but for just unsettling me for weeks I'd go with "Strangers".

I like the bloody ones too, but they are not as scary, for gore I liked Hostel 1.

Imp- hasn't seen the latest ones-too busy on BYC.
