Does anyone have experience with their birds eating quickweed? Do they like it or not?

I know where there is a large garden that has become infested with it. Rumor has it it is edible and nutritious. If so, and if the birds would eat it, that may be a way to eradicate it. Fence in the infested area, dump in a pile of foraging meat birds.....enough to eat everything in sight, and let them forage it into the dirt?
