Quiet breeds?

Being that we are in town I would like our chickens to be as quiet as possible. What breeds are a good choice? Right now we are considering "golden buff" chicks. They also have to be cold weather tolerant.

Are golden buff a good quiet breed? they are also called red star or cinnamon queen.

i don't know about cold weather, but my cochin hens are super quiet, and my silkie rooster almost never crows! in fact, i haven't heard him crow in probably 4 months or so, and no complaints about him crowing ether.

on the other hand my rhode island is VERY loud and opinionated as well as my polish.
