Quiet breeds

I have two barred rocks and an ee my ee has never made a sound in the 4 months i had her and thats great but my barred rocks are getting comments from neighbors what breed of chickens are quiet but still lay a good amount of eggs i love the look of gold laced Wyandotte how loud are they?

The only quite ones I have are Sussex and Delaware. The Sussex are very quiet. You may never find a chicken quiet enough for your neighbors, and even quite breeds have some loud mouths.

Brahmas are pretty quite!
you don't even hear the males very often!

They don't lay as well as BR though!
an average adult Brahma lays 4 eggs a week
(some more or less depending on overall health!)

They are great foregors & kid freindly personalities!
