Quiet Duck

Besides the Muscovy what would the next quiet duck be?

Call duck drakes are quieter (not really silent) then the ducks.

Call ducks are not quiet...even the drakes. Certainly not the next quietest duck next to Muscovies! I think it's debatable. Personally I think runner ducks and Cayugas are very quiet. They still quack, but they have less of a desire to do so.

I have runners that can be loud mouths when they want to - but after they are over a year, they have all quieted down.
My welsh harlequin is very quite and very rarely quacks.

But my mallard made the runners, even when being loud mouths, sound quiet!

Thank all of you for your comments. I think I am going to go the safe root and stay with Muscovy. I know that they roost but do they also use a nestbox or do they nest on the floor like other ducks?
