Quiet ducks which wont stray far?

Hi,

I'm on one acre in a typical subdivision and I'm wondering what type of ducks would be good for us.

They'd be living along with seven chickens in a shared run with separate coop.

We let the chickens out for a handful of hours a day and they really don't go more than 100' from the coop.

Any specific breed of ducks which wouldn't roam too far? Also, a quiet breed is important for us. I like runners, but I watched a video and they seemed very loud.

I'm intimidated by muscovys since our chickens are a small breed and we want smaller ducks...

Our neighbors are about 150' from the coop and they can't hear our chickens. Are ducks much louder? Looking at 5 females only.

Thank you both. I the idea of muscovys, but I'm just afraid they would hurt my hens due to thier size. I have golden comets, so they're pretty small.

Are they typically friendly towards chickens?

Muscovies aren't that big from what I've seen. They are wider than chickens, but are pretty low to the ground compared to other ducks.
Muscovy girls are small, but the males are HUGE they can reach up to 15lbs they're usually 2-3x the size of the girls, so if you do get Muscovy you might want only girls. Also the girls are excellent flyers, so if you don't want them to stray far you may have to clip their wings. No other duck will be quiet though, Muscovy are the only quiet domestic ducks.

Ducks are definitely much louder, except Muscovy. Here is a video of my Muscovy girls at their loudest.
Thank you. Muscovys would be a good choice for us. Quiet and reasonable egg production (only two of us and we have 7 production hens).

We only want females, but they'd still be nearly triple the size of our chickens. I'd be afraid that a simple peck could do some damage.

I'll read up.

Google tells me that Golden Comet hens are around 4lbs, so I don't think you would have any trouble. All 4 of my Muscovy girls are in between 4 and 6 lbs.

I just went and took a hen off the roost and weighed her (disaster by the way). She's the middle size of them and is 4.5lbs. I had no idea they've grown so much.

Definitely looking more into muscovys now.

I've only seen the ones at our local park and they were enormous. Must have been drakes I saw lol
